I downloaded some vintage hair pics in our tribe. That got me thinkin of a new topic, what is your favorite hair style, or era of do's? And why?
I have been obsessed lately of the styles from the 1940's and 1950's because the beauty shop was such a staple in the american womans life. The styles where so structured yet avant garde they has a feel to them I feel the shampoo set has made a comeback in a small way for fall runway and salon trends. I am reading a book now called big hair and it is about an anthropologist doing a study on the beauty shop and it's staple in society.

Thu, February 2, 2006 - 6:48 PMI have to say I'm a big fan of Farrah Fawcett feathers. One of the reasons I went to beauty school is so I could learn to do that hairstyle. I have perfected many different ways to achieve the look. I was really inspired by Madonna's latest revival of it. Such a beautiful job, and so flexible too! -
